Let your imagination take you on a journey of mixed media. The best part is that you can alter almost anything and give it a new meaning!
Today I'm taking a vintage frame, that I bought in a second-hand shop and I'm giving it a new life :)
I recorded the whole process of creating the project so you can repeat the steps I took and make your mixed media frame or something else, as these steps will work for other projects too.
There are a few basic tools, and products that can help you with creating mixed media pieces, these are very basic and most crafters have them in their stash:
gesso
gel medium
acrylic paints
texture paste
In the video, I will show each step I took to achieve the finished artwork.
Starting with a simple frame and even more simple door drawer handle :)
If you are new to mixed media techniques do not be afraid to try, this project is perfect for beginners too.
You may need:
apart from the products listed above: stencil, embossing powder, embellishments - flowers, die-cut leaves, lace, any wooden, chipboard or MDF elements, and any pieces that can create interesting texture!
