All sign up members will create/alter a mason jar that is minimum of 32 oz in size into a sewing kit jar. Requirements for filling the jar: 2 regular size thread spools (white or cream & pink or mauve) 3 types of lace, (1 will be Venice lace and 2 more that are regular lace 1" wide minimum, also in cream or whites along with pink or mauve) some safety pins (wal-mart sells the pink and white) 1 standard measuring tape (also wal-mart sells the pink) 1 pair of working mini scissors.
1 small bag of vintage buttons cream or ivory/white colors. 2-3 hand sewing needles along with some regular pins.
1 thimble.
Some wooden mini spools and any other little sewing themed items you desire.
For the outside of the jar, you will create a pin cushion to be attached to the top of the Mason jar lid. (see photos provided)
Also create a small charm to hang from the lid area (see photos)
You may decorate the outside of the jar with small die cut of any sewing themed items that would not obstruct the view on the inside.
And last but not least, you will create 10 stick pins to add to the pin cushion also in the white, cream and/or soft pastels mauve pink colors. (Please refer to video provided as a guide but also take in consideration the colors your partner likes.
The sign up is open till January 20, on the same day will choose partners and on January 30 is the due date to mail your project to your swap partner and on February 5 post pictures of your project. Cheers
