Alta Labs just sent over a full stack for testing
✔ Two AP6 Access Points
✔ S8-POE Switch
✔ Router 10
If you’ve followed me, you know I’ve been honest (and critical) about Alta compared to Ubiquiti. They’re newer, smaller, and still building their ecosystem.
BUT they introduced something that immediately sets them apart:
👉 Direct LIVE support for installers.
This was the 1 complaint about Ubiquiti for years. Forums only support slowed down deployments and hurt small businesses.
If Alta Laboratories truly backs installers with real-time support AND solid hardware performance, they could be the next major player for SMB networks.
I’ll be testing everything WiFi performance, software, POE behavior, routing throughput, and real install-life usability.
Stay tuned for the full review.
Competition is good. Options are better.
