Alstad is a pianist and composer from Langley, BC, Canada whose music has been featured on radio and television, both nationally and internationally. His musical style is instrumental contemporary classical, featuring the piano.
“Fort St. James” is the latest release by Alstad and was inspired by a little town in central British Columbia where he spent his first 6 years of life. Although the memories are sparse, there is a magical nostalgia that always accompanies thoughts of the town; the old mill where many of his friends’ parents worked, David Hoy Elementary school where he attended kindergarten and grade 1, the park across the street with the new slide that was too high for him to go down (as per his mother’s strict instructions). Fort St. James was a beautiful, rugged and wonder-full town to spend the first years of life.
