Saltyman | Alraune Boss Fight (No Damage) @SaltymanGaming | Uploaded September 2021 | Updated October 2024, 18 hours ago.
For once I actually had to run away from a boss.. I didn't want to deal with those stupid plants.
They really mess with your controls and the camera so I don't bother trying to attack them. The plants aren't a threat on their own but you really have to watch Alraune closely the whole time. You can stop her from summoning them with Wicked Weaves but for some reason sword charged attacks don't work.
Dual Swords are alright but I definitely prefer the Katana. Whips are amazing on the feet but sometimes the Witch Time duration is so short with Bayonetta that you can't always land the slam attacks.
Most of the attacks on dual swords are slower than katanas and I find enemies break out of combos more often. The PPKP combo is significantly worse. The Wicked Weave is slower, has a much smaller hitbox, and doesn't transition into aerial combos. The PPPPP combo also feels a lot less reliable and doesn't have the optional slam Wicked Weave finisher for burying enemies.
It does have a cool dodge move but I find it's pretty awkward to use and just doesn't give enough Witch Time. Perfect Counters have the same issue with Bayonetta.. The duration still isn't long enough to land a full combo so your better off just using normal dodges and dodge offsetting.
Also I'm not mashing buttons for no reason, it just looks weird at times because I'm constantly dodge offsetting in panther form.
