Alrighty... so, Digimon Tri= Nostalgia, and a bit of disappointment when you see past some of that. I've enjoyed reading what the fellow digimon fans had to say about the series, and a lot of valid points have been made. Regardless, I think any expectations would've been too high since a majority of us remember the series in a different way then we would've if it hadn't been so many years between the tv show/movies and Tri, and like the digidestined, we aren't kids anymore. I admire the creators for embarking in this project, and if there are more episodes/series that follow, I will definitely be there to continue the journey. I hope more shows begin to take this approach and that my childhood follows me into the future. What were your thoughts on Tri?
What's special about this theme is that I was working on it when we got news that there was a fire a few houses away from mine, (I live on a street with only one entrance/exit). Barely had time to get out, red smoke everywhere, couldn't breathe as the fire fighters were swarming the scene. That experience definitely makes this song sound even more epic and terrifying than it did the first time I stumbled across it in the series. The house I'm staying it didn't burn down, though a neighbors house did, and all around our property (sheds, mailbox, orchard) was destroyed. House also has smoke damage so haven't been for a few weeks. Maybe that's why I've been able to post more than usual, though I hope to continue this trend. :)
Anyway, I haven't posted much lately, but I do have some arrangements ready to go as soon as I take the time to either live record or put together a decent midi recording for the time being. (This arrangement is midi.)
Just as a heads up to those who are wondering what is coming next, here are the songs that are completely ready to go:
Orphan Black Opening Theme, Scrimshaw (Grim Fandango), Kick It Up (Digimon Adventure 02), Butterfly by Smile.dk, and the Island Theme from Digimon Linkz. I am also very close to finishing the arrangement for Ed Sheeran's Shape of You, the Justice League Opening, Settling in Stardew Valley, Title Infinity OSV, The Evil Queen (from Once Upon a Time), HerculesKabuterimon's Sacrifice (also known as Avant: Reboot from Digimon Tri), Glitzville, Hooktail's Castle and Professor Frankly (Paper Mario and TTYD), What Does the Fox Say, and the normal duel theme from the Yugioh Tag Team game (which was a beast to figure out, btw). Tutorials for some of my older vids coming soon. And of course am in the process of updating some of my old arrangements. :) Was learning Chikai from KHIII for a spell, but there are so many covers of that already, won't rush it.
Lastly, I have an album of original works inspired by Final Fantasy XV that I hope to share sometime between this summer and next summer, and a flurry of other original projects. I hope you enjoy some of the more recent videos!
