A common issue when hooking up the VIBS board is reversing the eDP cable which can sometimes result in a burned out 12 volt line on the ALP mainboard.

The 12 volt line is used to both power the VIBS board and the backlight on the backglass. When that no longer functions, you will have a dim display when connected directly to the mainboard as seen in this video. And the VIBS board will not work at all.

Replacing the ALP Mainboard is the normal fix, however an alternative fix is now available from Buy Stuff Arcades which involves simply powering the VIBS board.
