Alone by Skarloey Rheneas Remake
Alone. James is a mixed traffic engine who mainly works on the mainline. He is a very kind engine, and is always willing to go out of his way to help his friends if they are in need. However, James can also be rather overbearing at times, though he tends to not be aware of this when boasting to the other engines. Further to that, James can feel put out rather easily, which sometimes leads to him feeling upset. But despite all this, James always pulls through and has made many great friends.
I don’t remember much about Skarloey Rheneas because it was so long ago. I think he dropped out of college to make trainz videos? He reminds me of a greasy molerat. I remember that Alone was a huge meme back in the day. They even put the original on the hub! If you know what I mean.
Alone as a story is a little strange, I think I understand where its story is coming from but it’s so weird coming from these characters.
This remake was filmed on Dec 2023 as an april fools idea. Another one of those ideas that I put into the backburner just to do now! Northern did his lines in early 2024 (his first in a Thomas production so please send him your flowers)! I didn’t do this video because originally I was frustrated with editing. This is my first trainz production. I had absolutely no idea how to use the camera, hiding switches, and toggling off the HUD. Despite everything, I’m so enamoured by how good it looks and what I was able to do for this video to look good. Nowadays, I want to make videos that I would want to watch. I honestly don’t care about the money, so I’ll put any song if it makes the video feel right. Music is awesome! It shouldn’t be neutered for the sake of monetization. At the end of the day, I just want to make my creative art that I would want to see and that I don’t really see much of.
