This movie shows all-sky camera images from the UTC day February 28, 2019, which is the Alaska local night of February 27, 2019. To get the local time, subtract 09:00 from the UTC time that is displayed. The image is for the green wavelength (557.7 nm) only; the actual aurora display contained more colors, such as pink. Each camera image in the movie is mapped to an altitude of 120 km, which allows us to convey how the auroral display in the night sky covered Alaska. The center of the image is the camera location at Poker Flat, central Alaska. This movie is referenced in a paper entitled “Recording the Aurora at Seismometers Across Alaska,” published in Seismological Research Letters and authored by Carl Tape, Adam Ringler, and Don Hampton.
