In 1985 Hudson Soft decided to launch a series of tours in Japan using a Bright yellow van. The purpose of the tour was to showcase their games and organise competitions at major cities to help promote the now famous-great Shot-Em-Ups and franchises such as Adventure Island and Bomberman.
Takahashi Meijin was in the forefront of it all and hosted the competitons. During the comps, prizes, free giveaways and merchandise were available to gamers who attended. The tour helped Hudson Soft establish itself as one of the leading game developers for the Famicom and PC Engine. The tour carried on through to the 90's.
