Allen Wu is a well-known executive in China's embedded processing space. He founded a company called CoreLab Technology whose mission is to make compute more affordable by building a platform that doesn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars for the chip design.
EE Times' Nitin Dahad had the chance to sit down with Allen Wu at AspenCore's 2025 IIC exhibition and conference and Global CEO Summit in Shenzhen, China, which took place in November 2025.
In this interview, he explains the company's focus on 'enabling pioneers who want to do something different' using CoreLab's heterogeneous compute platform that allows customization of the processor and chip while using a common underlying software platform.
