Utilizes a brief secular Italian text ( A pronunciation guide in IPA is included.) Has an optional "solo" duet in the "B" section of the work..

GREAT STORY: Venetian composer, Antonio Vivaldi, was commissioned by the French ambassador to Venice - Jacques-Vincent Languet, to write a work for the occasion of the wedding of Louis XV to the Polish princess Maria Leszczyńska. The wedding took place in the ambassador's garden on the 12th of September. The entire work that Vivaldi composed was 22 movements, with this "Allegro" being the last. The story involves two "characters" (each with their own musical line) - IMENEO (a mythological god and offspring of Apollo) and LA GLORIA (an allegorical character).
translation: "These shall enjoy even more of their pleasure, once [they are] in the embrace of true contentment. The blessed torch shines for now, lighting the path to true happiness, but only amidst a long-awaited calm."
