Background: GSMIT invited me to work with a small group of 7th graders from Maplewood Richmond Heights Middle School (St. Louis, MO) during their week in the Smokies. Over three and a half insane days we conceptualized, wrote, recorded, and shot the video for this project. We parody "Swimming Pools (Drank)" by Kendrick Lamar, "All the Single Ladies" by Beyonce, and "Just Give me a Reason" by Pink, in an attempt to explain and explore the biodiversity found in Great Smoky Mountain National park.
