Madworld released in 2009 for the Nintendo Wii. It’s a game where you can jam a tire over someone, stick a signpost through their skull, then throw them in a dumpster or pound them repeatedly into spikes. It’s an extremely cartoony, yet brutally violent beat-emup. This was the first game created by platinumgames, who then went on to make Bayonetta, Metal Rising Revengeance, Nier Automata, and most recently Ninja Gaiden 4.
