Built on the innovative SMA platform—a next-generation premium architecture designed for extended-range plug-in hybrids—the XC70 is a strategic addition to Volvo’s electrified offerings.
Specifically developed to meet the growing demand for long-range plug-in hybrids in China, the 2026 XC70 will be available for order there later this year. Volvo Cars is also considering expansion into other markets in the future.
With its impressive electric range, fast charging capability, and an efficient combustion engine for longer journeys, the XC70 offers the best of both worlds.
