Ixion is a cut character that would appear in God of War 3, another tormented character punished by Zeus. He would be chained to a giant wheel located in a water level, and to complete the puzzle, Kratos would kill him by drowning. It is unknown why the entire level was cut.
He would appear in Tartarus before the Cronos fight, in the cut levels HDS800 and HDS850. The encounter would take place after the Tartarus centaur fight, and before passing through the Gates of Tisiphone.
I got these voice lines from the God of War 3 demo files. In the final game, they were removed. Ixion sounds similar to Hermes, and was possibly voiced by the same actor.
