Later than I wanted to make this video, but here it is XD First section is a brief tutorial for new or free-2-play players on where weapons drop, how to know what to keep, perk tips, and more. The second section acts as a "Grocery List" of weapons that I think are pretty good to use in both PVE and PVP. The third section acts as a reference tool/catalog of all weapons available to free-2-play players. **Do note: Console players require use of Xbox Live/PS Plus to have access to a majority of the game, so I "technically" count that as a requirement for these weapons, as PC players don't have that restriction....otherwise, you lose the ability to obtain 95% of the weapons)**

So feel free to skip around from section to section: listen to the advice, skip to recommendations, or go thru weapon by weapon. This is meant to be a tool to help guardians find new or interesting weapons they might not know exist, how to obtain, etc.

If you know of any other weapons that I might of missed or any errors, leave them down below. I try to be thorough in my research, but it's easy to forget some things. (I did leave out Nightfall weapons, as this season only saw 1 for f2p - Mindbender's Ambition - but that drop won't come back around before the end of the season.

Next season will be a HUGE shake-up for available weapons, as they are adding "legacy focusing" as a way to obtain old weapons that are currently unobtainable. Expect the spreadsheet to be updated during the first few weeks of Lightfall and then an updated resource for all free-2-play weapons.

-- Methodology --
1. Organized by ammo type (primary - special - power), then by range/engagement space, then by elements.
2. List active sources for each available weapon
3. Highlight key weapons by a combination of potency for pvp/pve and how easy they are to obtain

[Loot Source Terminology]
- Drops: End of activity (ie: strikes, crucible, gambit) completion item
- World Drops: Random engrams that you find on the ground in pve activities/world
- Focus: Selecting what loot you get (either specific weapon or selection of weapons) by using an umbral/vendor engram at a specific vendor
- Packages: Rankup reward engrams you claim in the top right of the vendor screens at Zavala, Drifter, Shaxx, Saladin, Banshee, etc
- Spoils: Spoils of Conquest - Raid currency obtain from doing raids, used to purchase items from final chest in raids launched post-Beyond Light
- Craftable: can complete a quest or deepsight resonance (red borders) to obtain their patterns; craft (make) those weapon at the enclave on Mars (in Savathun's Throne World Destination)
- Banshee/Xur Inventory: Special vendors that bring specific weapons each week - totally random what they bring, but weapon options are from a somewhat known pool
- Dares of Eternity/Dares/DoE: 6 player activity rewarding old weapons/gear as well as the 30th anniversary weapons
- Rotations #: in regards to Dares of Eternity - refers to specific loot pool for Dares that rotates each week. 3 pools with specific loot.
- Altars of Sorrow: Public event activity on the Moon - rewards specific weapon each day upon completion
- Blind Well: Dreaming City Public Activity; event chest offers a random dreaming city weapon.
- Leviathan: Public space housing the Castellum and Containment Activity
- Opulent Keys: reward from chests found aboard the leviathan and Containment Activity; rewards 1 of 4 reprised 'opulent' weapons.
- Nightfall/NF Drops: Weapon drops from the nightfall playlist/Grand Masters; for F2P players - the strike must also be F2P to have access to the nightfall.
