The amphibian larvae of the Nazca Tridactyls were encapsulated in the body of their progenitor (or host) by the coating of diatomaceous earth and cadmium chloride, the metal implants part of a larvae management system.
Tridactyl specimens like Luisa may have died via the diatomaceous earth. suffocating the suspected cutaneous breather, leaving her brood to engage in extreme matriphagy using juvenile teeth and sharp rostra beaks to bore through bone and metal implant. Cannibalmorphs engage in adelphophagy, preying on juvenile siblings with rostra piercing pneumatic regions of the skull, and utilizing a proboscis to feed upon the contents within.
All evidence suggests the Tridactyls are a terrestrial species, native to Earth.
