Aliens come to Earth and announce they are going to destroy it unless one of our kind can win the Metagalatic grand prix. A beauty pageant/concert competition between all the species.
This has a similar wacky vibe to hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and I absolutely loved it.
🛸Amid Stars & Darkness~Channi Lynn Feener (YA)
Delaney is kidnapped by aliens who mistake her for their princess. She is forced to impersonate her until the real one can be found.
An all time favorite trilogy for me with a FABULOUS love triangle.
🛸The Host~Stephenie Meyer (YA)
Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, didn't expect to find its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.
Arguably Stephenie's best book.
🛸Sleeping Giants~ Sylvain Neuvel (Adult)
A young girl named Rose riding her bike falls into a hole in the shape of a giant hand. 17 years later the mystery remains and she has spent her life trying to solve it.
This is my FAVORITE Alien book/trilogy of all time. It’s so incredibly well done and has the most fabulous audiobook!
