This was my first (and very lame, lol) attempt at doing a tutorial for an album. Since then I have made a better, more thorough tutorial for floating hinge album with a soft spine, Don't let the technical terms scare you if you are a beginner, it is really quite easy to do. There are a couple of different techniques shown to making the spine in that tutorial. For this Alice album, I have used a fabric covered spine. It wouldn't hurt to watch both this video and the one linked below before you begin.

All of the the design papers in this album were stitched around the edges in a dark brown thread before gluing them onto to the pages.
I had 3 of the 12x 12 paper packs of the Stamperia Alice collection, though you may get by with 2. I also used some playing card digital papers that I printed out to suppliment the album. These I found on Etsy from Digital Curio. I also used other various digital collections from etsy that I had in my file. I don't recollect the names of the companies. Please see the walk thru for any other items used.

For the top layers of the cover cut 2 pieces of heavy duty chipboard at 8 1/2 x 10 inches. You may need to trim these a bit less than 8 1/2. please see tutorials.
Cut 2 pieces of Recollections Kraft paper at 8 1/2 x 10 inches for the covers, 6 pieces at 1 1/2 x 10 inches for the hinges, and 4 strips at 1 x 10 inches.
Cut 5 thin chipboard pieces at 8 x 10 inches.
Two pieces of fabric of your choice:
cut 1 at 4 wide x 11 inches tall
Cut 1 at 7 wide by 11 tall
use glue and not tape when making your fabric spine.

about 1/2 yard of ribbon. I used 2 inch wide ribbon
