Brothers Alhad and Aalok Alsi are young and very talented Hindustani Classical Vocalists. They were the featured artistes for the on-going First Light series of concerts produced and curated by Kishima Arts Foundation.
They began their recital with three bandishes in Raag Ahir Bhairav.
The first was a traditional composition called "Rabba Mero" in Vilambit ektaal. This was a composition they learnt from their guru Smt. Kumudtai Hirurkar.
The second bandish in Madhyalay ektaal was another traditional composition that they received from their other guru Shri Ambarish Das titled "Dhyan Lago Tero Nam".
They concluded the piece with "Piya Parabin Param Sukha Chatur", a composition by the late Ustad Amir Khan, in drut teentaal.
The brothers were accompanied by Parth Tarabadkar on tabla and Saumitra Kshirsagar on harmonium. Tanpura support was provided by Aditi Joshi and Shreya Jog.
