Anna Heller plays the original composition "Dreaming" by Alexander Rosenblatt.
Alexander Rosenblatt about his composition: "When composing 'Dreaming,' I attempted to blend an eternally beautiful theme with gently and intelligently jazz-infused harmonies. In other words, I tried (as I always do in my music and in my educational work) to combine classical and jazz elements as naturally as possible. Additionally, I did not want to mar the original. The piece is dedicated to my great piano teacher, in memory of Pavel Messner, who was a student of the great Emil Gilels. Messner's grandfather was the famous French composer George Catoire. I hope that the piece will be a gentle and delightful addition for both the performers and the audience."
