On Thursday, Dec. 3, Alexa AI director of applied science Ruhi Sarikaya joined Jeff Blankenburg on Alexa & Friends to discuss the ways he and his team are working to enable more natural and friction-free interactions with Alexa through self-learning, including a capability which makes Alexa more engaging by improving its ability to infer customers’ latent goals. Sarikaya has 20 years of experience working in artificial intelligence and conversational AI domains. He has authored more than 120 publications, and was recently elevated to IEEE Fellow for his leadership in spoken-language-processing and conversational understanding systems.
