This is the opening to the short-lived, syndicated TV shopping show "VTV-Value Television" hosted by Alex Trebek and Meredith MacRae. In 1987, the idea of TV shopping was exploding, and everyone was trying to work thier way into it. This was a nightly, one hour show which tried to make it look like a talk show, all while selling product. It failed.
