$RECAP: Lindsay Clancy Trial Day 5 Morning Testimony (Graphic) GRAPHIC TESTIMONY @ 00:36-4:12 In today’s testimony, jurors heard from doctors who treated Callan and Cora, then trauma ICU nurses about Lindsay Clancy’s critical condition after she was transferred following the January 24, 2023 incident. The nurses described Lindsay arriving at the ICU as critically injured and considered a self-harm risk. Shortly after arrival, Lindsay suffered cardiac arrest after her blood pressure dropped. Medical staff performed CPR, administered medications to support her blood pressure, placed chest tubes, and began blood transfusions. The testimony covered the severity of Lindsay’s injuries, including spinal fractures, a thoracic spine injury described as a transection, rib fractures, thyroid swelling, blood loss, and wounds to her wrists and neck. Nurses testified about the medical treatment she received, her time on a ventilator, and her gradual recovery. Jurors also heard about Lindsay’s behavior while in the ICU, including her confusion after being extubated, what doctors described as ICU delirium, her need for restraints while recovering, and her ability to follow commands and communicate through writing. The last witness before lunch was a psychiatrist who testified about discussions surrounding Lindsay’s mental health history, and how she changed her healthcare proxy from Patrick Clancy to her parents.
