Recording Academy / GRAMMYs | Alex Gaskarth Reveals The Takamine Guitar That Sparked His Songwriting Journey | It Goes To 11 @RecordingAcademy | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Alex Gaskarth, frontman for the rock band All Time Low, shares the story behind his prized Takamine 2004 limited edition acoustic guitar. Adorned with star constellations Ursa Major and Draco, the guitar captured his attention as a star-obsessed teen — and it would ultimately shape his musical path. "It's one of the things that anchors me to the musician I was, just starting out then in my early teens," he says. "It would be a tough one to part ways with now."
