In January 2023, Alda Simoes tragically lost her friend, Sofia Duarte, in an e-bike fire. A converted e-bike charging in the hallway sparked the blaze. Since then, more lives have been claimed by these ferocious battery fires.

Our campaign work seeks to regulate e-bikes, e-scooters and their batteries to prevent others from suffering a loss like Sofia's friends and family have.
