Alberta's new renewable energy restrictions could put $14 billion and 57 projects at risk says Jason Wang of the Pembina Institute. They created a map overlay with current projects on top of new restricted zones. Vittoria Bellissimo of the Canadian Renewable Energy Association worries about the uncertainty this is creating plus changes that are coming to how the electricity market works in Alberta. This from a province that led the country in renewable energy investment just last year. The renewable energy industry was already much more strictly regulated than the provinces conventional energy industry of which none of these new rules will apply.
