Professor emeritus Albert Feng recalls his groundbreaking work on smart hearing aids and bio-molecular cochlear implants in this interview from 2007. Feng passed away unexpectedly in California on August 31, 2021. He was a professor of molecular and integrative physiology, biophysics and computational biology, neuroscience, and bioengineering. Feng also previously served as associate director of the Beckman Institute and chair of the U of I’s neuroscience program.
