An exclusive remaster for improved audio clarity, balance and dynamics. From the Grammy Award winning 1995 album “Jagged Little Pill” by Alanis Morissette, “Hand In My Pocket” became her first single to achieve No.1 in Morissette’s native Canada. The track also became a top radio play from the album in the U.S., since no single was released there. Most of the album was recorded on the Alesis Digital Audio Tape (ADAT) machine that was in the home studio of producer and co-songwriter Glen Ballard, who worked directly with Alanis. He brought the completed demos to Westlake Studios to have the instrumentals redone by session musicians. But when it came to “Hand In My Pocket,” Glen decided that despite the demo having the Linn 9000 drum machine, any changes would be distracting from its unique ethereal soundscape. The original demo was included in the album. “Jagged Little Pill” received nine Grammy Award nominations, of which it won five: “Album of the Year;” Best Rock Album;” Best Rock Song (You Oughta Know);” and “Best Long Form Video.” All rights reserved to the copyright owners.
