I used a mix of knowledge from this site (Steam Deck HQ) for the dll components as well as from various reddit comments suggesting Beta Drivers. After gaining that knowledge I found this post (Reddit) from user Phrozen087. Credits to them.
HOWEVER, I did not need the beta mesa drivers (installing through method below) I just updated to the latest release beta candidate of Steam OS.

In this video we will take a look at the recently release title from Remedy Studios, Alan Wake 2. This is the sequel to the highly praised original, Alan Wake.
We will test the performance of this highly demanding game on all handhelds. They include the ASUS ROG Ally, GPD Win Max 2 and Ayaneo Air 1s. As well, we will show you how to install the official AMD Drivers to the ASUS ROG Ally AND get Alan Wake 2 running on the Steam Deck.
If you enjoy performance benchmarks you will be able to find all relevant links in the timestamps.
If you have the XG-Mobile RTX 3080 or RX 6850, those will be tested in the video as well, towards the end. Having any XG-Mobile GPU can turn Alan Wake 2 from performing the worst on the Ally, to the absolute best compared to other handhelds. Save for Oculink Devices (not tested here).
