The Donkey Kong Country series took quite a break before making a surprise return on the Wii. Development duties where handled by Retro Studios who are no strangers when it comes to rebooting Nintendo franchises.

Personally I just don't enjoy this game though. The controls and overall feel of the mechanics just aren't enjoyable and the game is very unforgiving in parts. Definitely a disappointment.

Plus no Kremlings or David Wise :(
