Sam Costa, British singer, entertainer and broadcaster and initially a popular singer in the dance band era and a comic actor on the show "Much-Binding-in-the-Marsh", he was later a disc jockey for Radio Luxembourg and the BBC, appears in the film, operating a computer to select musical numbers.
A shortened American version, titled "Disk-O-Tek Holiday," was created in 1966, replacing the British acts with American artists and omitting Sam Costa's scenes.
Allen Fowler aka Al Saxon was born on July 18, 1932, in West Ham, London, England.
He died on August 10, 1997, in Chelmsford, Essex, England.
