Aku, a rescued walrus calf, injured his right eye prior to his arrival at SeaWorld Orlando. Due to the injury Aku immediately lost vision in his right eye. Since Aku was so young when the injury occurred, the loss of vision has not interfered with any of his daily activities. As part of his extensive health care at SeaWorld Orlando, Aku has routine appointments with an ophthalmologist and receives eye drops multiple times a day.
