Tucked into a narrow valley north of the Bowman Lake drainage lies the quiet Akokala Lake. From the foot of this quiet lake, you can gaze up to Kintla Peak, one of Glacier National Park's 10,000 foot peaks and the other stunning peaks surrounding it. The hike to it is a forested affair with little to no views, but this quiet corner makes the hike up and over Numa Ridge worth it.
