This journey to Mount Athos was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Athos, with its authenticity and mysticism, welcomed me on a spiritual and gastronomic voyage I will never forget.
My adventure began at the Cell of Mylopotamos, where Father Ioakeim welcomed me with the traditional Athonite treat. This Cell has a long and rich history. It was here that Father Epiphanios lived and created, elevating Athonite cuisine to a true art form. For a few days, I had the chance to experience firsthand the simple yet profound rhythm of monastic life. Every moment there had something to teach me.
