Akai Ewi Solo - wind synth
My first recording using a wind instrument - got the Akai Solo on Saturday
having never used any actual wind instrument before. This is what i sellotaped together in the looper page of my Akai MPC One.
went thru some of the patches and recorded a few notes.
Looked at quite a few of the available midi wind instruments from Akai, Yamaha and Roland plus a few new manufacturers.
For my budget of around £500 this was hard to beat overall as it offered 200 patches, a wide range of sounds from realistic to synthetic and was self contained and didn't need to hook up to a phone app that might not get updated in future. also it had a decent display where you can edit the sounds on the instrument - you also have the option of the free pc/mac editor.
anyhoo - it's quite fun to learn so far!
