AITIA (pronounced “Etia”, Greek, meaning: cause, reason) is an ambient/experimental project which deals with the manipulation of time.
Inspired by films like Tenet, Arrival, Contact and Interstellar, AITIA are fascinated by the dilation & warping of time and concepts such as reverse entropy and conformal cyclic cosmology.
The group strive to bring these notions into sound as they explore mind-bending auditory territories filled with glacial low-frequency waves, cinematic atmospheres and reversed textures & overtones.
Their debut albums “ENA” and “ANE” are sonic palindromes, meaning that they sound identical, regardless of being experienced in forward or backward time.
