I spent a whopping two weeks on this bad boy wAHOO
Summary thing:
Rien (shorter) and Eugius met and quickly became friends and fell in love but Eugius had past trauma in regards to a relationship that was abusive by all definitions of the word. He ends up telling Rien a bit into their relationship which bothers him and also confuses him, but can tell it hurts Eugius. Their relationship goes on as normal but then Eugius gets severely sick with the plague and Rien tries everything to help him but to no avail. He goes into a deep state of grieving.
Soon, Eugius’ twin brother and his husband come home from out of the country trying to find Eugius. He’s met with Rien and being told his brother passed. Kriss tries to stay optimistic but one day he and Rien run into Adrien, the man who abused Eugius and also inflicted torture on Kriss. Fearful, Kriss turns but suddenly rage floods to Rien. After meeting Adrien later that night, he silently follows him and kills him, full of grief and rage, then gets home and freaks out. Kriss finds him and promises to help hide it.
Eventually, a girl named Scarlette that Rien became friends with takes him to a site he used to frequent with Eugius and then confesses her love for him. He finally tells her about Eugius and how he was in love with him and can’t love her, only for her to react terribly.
Overwhelmed with terrible feelings and shame, Riens had enough so he goes to attempt suicide. Scarlette comes to his house to probably apologize only to hear/find him and runs to get Kriss who runs back to try to save Rien. He survives and has even more to process now but is surrounded by friends (Kriss, Alex (his husband), Scarlette, and lottie (her daughter, whos like a child to Rien)
