Take a ride with us on Phoenix, arguably one of the best wooden roller coasters in the world known for its insane airtime! Phoenix is a Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters wooden out and back roller coaster located at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, USA. The ride opened in 1948 as the Rocket at Playland Park in San Antonio, Texas and later found its home in 1985 at Knoebels. At the time of its opening, Phoenix was the largest roller coaster ever moved from one park to another. Phoenix has received the Golden Ticket Award for best wooden roller coaster several times most recently 2023 at time of recording.


This was our very first time filming the attraction and we will provide our reaction after the ride. Special thanks to Knoebels for allowing us to safely capture the ride experience!

Knoebels Amusement Resort is a family-owned and operated amusement park, picnic grove, and campground in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1926, it is the United States's largest free-admission park. The park has more than 60 rides including three wooden roller coasters, three steel roller coasters, a 1913 carousel, and two haunted house dark rides. The amusement park is owned and operated by the Knoebel (pronounced kuh-NO-bel) family. The park's name has traditionally been spelled "Knoebels" without the apostrophe, and appears that way on all official park advertising and correspondence. The park and its rides have won awards from organizations such as Amusement Today, American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE), and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. In 2014, Travel Channel rated Knoebels one of their Top 10 Family Friendly Amusement Parks in the United States.
