Despite the number of controversies surrounding airport security, one thing is for sure – it is a time consuming and quite troubling process that everyone has to deal with when travelling. In this video, Mario Stinger discusses a few solutions and measures you can do to save yourself a lot of trouble from this important aspect of your journey.
To start off, he shares a trick you should do before crossing the security line. Make sure to put your cellphone, car keys, wallet and other valuable items into one pocket of your carry on bag to avoid losing them in the conveyor belt and risk others seeing exactly where they are. After you passed all security measures including customs, he says, is the only time you can already take them out and put them in your person.
According to Mario, another thing you should be weary about is a long conveyor belt. When you have put your bag on it, you may not be able to catch up with your belongings as you wait your turn to be checked by the security, allowing others before you a chance to get them. Though there is no possible solution you can do to avoid this, make sure you do check your things once you pass through security and that if there are missing items, you should report them immediately.
He also advises that if the airport police stops you to check your bags for bombs and other illegal materials as an extra security measure, it is better to just agree with them. This way, you can yourself a world of troubles and can also avoid any unnecessary suspicions. You should also consider getting TSA approved locks, as any others will be destroyed if they do decide to check them.
You should also be careful and apprehensive about how the officials handle your luggage, as he shares one of his experiences with an air marshal who tried to steal his belongings. Make sure to put everything back inside your bags, and to double check all your belongings before submitting them to the conveyor belts and going on about your journey.
