Brisbane Airport is sharing a simple safety reminder: many passenger accidents in the terminals are preventable by paying attention, slowing down and not rushing, or managing heavy bags properly.

Working with Kidsafe Queensland, we’re sharing practical safety reminders that help keep everyone moving safely through busy spaces - including families, older travellers, and passengers with reduced mobility:

- Don’t place children on luggage to transport them
- Use the handrail on escalators and travelators
- Use lifts if you have heavy baggage, a trolley, or reduced mobility (and allow extra time)
- Stay alert and keep children close—airport equipment and moving walkways aren’t playgrounds

With over 1 million people travelling each peak holiday period, small choices can make a real difference to safe travels.
