Airport lounges may range from just being a place where you can sit and wait for your flight with a few crackers and Internet access, to luxury rooms with spa, showers and other such amenities.
In this video, Mario Stinger talks about how you can access these lounges for free and the differences between them in airports all over the world.
If you need to stay in the airport for a few hours prior to your flight, he recommends that using their lounge privileges can be pretty useful. These rooms usually offer food, beverages, Wi-Fi access and other such amenities to help you pass the time as comfortable as possible.
He shares that despite this, however, the quality of these lounges varies on the country you are flying in. US airport lounges, for example, are quite notorious for their bad service, as they do not offer anything much to the passengers. European lounges, on the other hand, he says are better, while Asian and Middle Eastern ones are some of the best in the world.
One way to get free access to these rooms is by using any credit card reward program, which can give you a number of priority passes to them per year. Other options he recommends is by upgrading to a business class or first class flight, as well as paying a minimal fee of up to 40 dollars at most, pretty much anywhere in the world.
He says that with the many amenities and privileges an airport lounge can give, especially after long hours of connecting flights and waiting for the next, accessing them is truly worth it.
