Apple finally fixed AirPods Max, but not all the way š§
AirPods Max 2 are the best headphones Apple has ever made, and that is exactly why they are so frustrating. Apple finally gave them the H2 chip, which means better ANC, better transparency, smarter features, and sound that feels fuller, cleaner, and more refined across the board.
But at this price, the missing stuff matters. Wireless lossless is still not here, the smart case is still weird, and wired gaming still means giving up the built in mic. So yes, these are excellent. They are also the clearest example of Apple giving you almost everything and daring you to ask for the rest.
