The ASUS ROG Astral is without a doubt one of the more unique graphics cards we've seen for quite some time. The RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 models share the same dimensions, therefore this video is valid for both.
Premium materials, premium price tag, that's pretty much the summary here, but with the price of RTX 5090 boards already being expensive, the ROG Astral paves its way forward as a standout product in it's own right.
There has been a small number of complaints saying that the additional fan increases noise levels due to turbulence. I did test extensively for this, but other than a marginal increase in volumes due to having one extra fan, it seems our version isn't prone to anything unordinary.
It was also noted during the Astral Overview section of the video that the measurements supplied by ASUS on their website is incorrect. They placed the Astral as dimensionally the same as the ROG Strix RTX 4080 / 4090 but we found Astral to be around 7mm shorter which is quite significant. Hopefully ASUS will amend the measurements ASAP.

It goes without saying that GPU's are changing. With inflated prices from Nvidia to begin with, partner cards are also ramping up in price. The ROG Astral certainly stands out as one of the more premium products I've ever unboxed and built with. Airflow is huge, performance is great and the overall aesthetics are pretty sweet!
