Participants in the AME Attraction Program hadn’t considered a career in aviation and were surprised by what they found.
The Hunter Valley is the powerhouse of Australia’s military jet operations and the program brought students together to get hands on and experience the life of an aircraft worker.

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Attraction Program was delivered by the Regional Economic Development and Training Services NSW under the Targeted Workforce Development Scheme. It was funded by the NSW Government and was a collaboration with TAFE NSW, Pennant, HunterNet Co-operative, Hunter Defence and BAE Systems Australia.

BAE Systems has announced successful trials for its Autonomous Tactical Light Armour System (ATLAS) Uncrewed Ground Vehicle (UGV). The trials are part of the ongoing development for a next generation modular autonomous land capability designed to support main battle tank or combat reconnaissance vehicle capabilities.
