In the Australian state of Victoria, the Bell 407GXi is helping keep the power on and communities safe. Utility operator Powercor is using it as an airborne platform for remote sensing technology. Powercor flies the Bell 407GXi along its lines and uses lasers to map trees needing trimming. The fuel capacity and speed of the Bell 407GXi is shaving months off the line survey, getting crews to vegetation faster to prevent fires.
