Hello guys, Today, June 12th 2025
An Air India Boeing 787 operating as Flight 171 just crashed today in Ahmedabad, India, it seemed like a normal takeoff from afar but the aircraft suddenly descended after climbing and unfortunately crashed into a populated area, where 200 people have died.
As of right now there are speculations on an engine failure on takeoff after a loud bang was heard, possibly from a compressor stall or a bird strike.
This also marks the first time where the Boeing 787 had it's first fatal accident and is Air India most recent accident after 1985's Air India 182 bombing.

UPDATE: it seems that two people has survived the crash and are in the hospital, and unfortunately 50 ground fatalities have been counted.
