This old CRT TV had problems in the power circuit. The On button had to be pressed about a dozen times to get the TV to turn on. The rear half of the case was removed and the implosion band cut in order to prepare the TV for the shot. The fire extinguisher tank and solenoid valve air cannon was used with the 72" long cal .565 rifled barrel. The ammo was an 800 grain cast lead slug. Firing pressure was 400 PSI. The recovered slug showed that it hit point first. Slow motion was recorded at 240 and 480 frames/sec. The TV was powered up and displaying "snow" when shot. The HV kept going after the tube popped, this can clearly be seen in the slow motion clips.
