A single AI workflow can touch three different clouds before it returns a response. The network underneath was built for a different era.
Cisco Multicloud Fabric — announced at Cisco Live 2026 — is a Cisco-operated network-as-a-service available through Cisco Cloud Control. It connects sites and clouds the way AI workloads actually move: site-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud, through virtual points of presence across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with zero-trust routing and ThousandEyes embedded in the fabric.
What's inside:
- Cisco-operated virtual points of presence (vPoPs) across cloud providers and regions
- Zero-trust routing — nothing connects by default, every connection explicitly defined
- Cloud firewall service chaining, enforceable per connection
- ThousandEyes monitoring built into every vPoP for end-to-end visibility
- Brownfield migration at your own pace, starting with Meraki MX across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
Why it matters: Cisco's AI Impact on Wide Area Networks report found that agentic AI workflows generate roughly 450% more network traffic than the same task done manually — and most of it crosses cloud boundaries. Multicloud Fabric is built for that reality.
